The experienced marketing candidate will have relevant marketing qualifications, a solid track record of 15+ years experience within the marketing, branding and communications field, and is currently working for a corporate professional company.

The position reports into a marketing executive.

The marketing manager: brand and communications will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s brand identity and driving revenue growth. This full-time permanent role involves developing and executing marketing strategies aligned with broader business requirements.

It requires a hands-on approach, managing a full marketing function including communications, brand development, product marketing, research, and design.

The marketing manager will lead a team of internal specialists and external contractors.

Responsibilities include day-to-day tasks such as managing campaigns, analysing market trends, conducting research, creating materials, and overseeing digital efforts.

The position is based full time in Cape Town. Hybrid working conditions (three days based at the offices). Should the candidate not be based in Western Cape, then relocation will be for the candidate's own account.

Key areas of experience required:
  • B2B and B2C experience is required for this role
  • Strong team management experience – long track record of managing small – medium size marketing team and building a team capability
  • Commercially experienced and able to convert marketing initiative into ROI.
  • Strong on data analytics
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance brand visibility
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and customer feedback to inform marketing tactics and content creation
  • Ensure effective product marketing with clear value propositions and market positioning
  • Oversee branding standards and maintain quality control across all marketing channels
  • Optimise marketing channels to maximise market reach while minimising costs
  • Measure and analyse return on marketing investment
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or relevant qualification
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing or brand management across multiple industries
  • Four + years in a senior management role
  • Strategic thinking and planning with a keen eye for detail. Strong on data analytics and conversions
  • Ability to identify industry trends and in corporate innovative ideas into marketing strategies
  • Experience in developing integrated marketing approaches
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement creative solutions under pressure
  • High degree of quality control and customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
