Popular as a production and creative hub, Longkloof Studios in Gardens has seen its fair share of filmmaking action in the last few years, but it came as a complete surprise to the talented crew at leading brand activation agency, thirtyfour when their offices were chosen as a film set for a new Bollywood movie that was being shot in Cape Town in December last year!

Filming took place on December 16 with Bollywood star Soha Ali Khan spending most of the day in front of the camera at thirtyfour's first floor office in Longkloof Studios shooting several scenes for her upcoming Bollywood movie, Tum Mile.

Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the cast and crew of 60 spent a full day filming, making the most of the office's natural light and modern design.

Says thirtyfour, CEO Andrew Sutcliffe, “While thirtyfour is designed to maximise space and optimise our working environment, we never thought we'd see our office being used as a backdrop in an international movie. The crew chose to film on a public holiday, so there was no disruption in our own schedule. As a matter of fact, I quite like the concept of the agency continuing to work even after the staff has left the building.”

thirtyfour's new international star status aside, the team looks forward to creating some box office hits of their own in the form of hardworking, award-winning brand activation campaigns in 2009.
