Mobility startups invited to apply for Man accelerator

African mobility startups have been invited to apply for the Man Truck and Bus Impact Accelerator, which offers access to mentorship and visits to mobility hotspots in Cape Town, Mumbai, Munich, and San Francisco.
Mobility startups invited to apply for Man accelerator

The Mand Truck and Bus Impact Accelerator, powered by Yunus Social Business (YSB), is focussed on businesses in transport and logistics.

Over the course of the six-month programme, entrepreneurs will receive support from senior Man Truck and Bus staff, benefit from YSB’s global mentor network, and get access to Man infrastructure and assets.

Selected startups will also have the chance to travel across the globe to visit mobility hotspots in Mumbai, Cape Town, Munich, and San Francisco. Access to the programme, as well as travel and accommodation, are free.

“Access to mobility is the single most important driver to alleviate poverty. The accelerator is built to scale social ventures in transport and logistics. It takes you on a journey through four ecosystems in Europe, India, South Africa, and California,” MAN said.

“Connect with fellow entrepreneurs, get access to a pool of 300+ mentors from Man, Salesforce and YSB like MAN CEO Joachim Drees or Nobel Peace Laureate Muhammad Yunus, who has built social businesses impacting over 27 million people. Get access to impact investors and key Man resources.”

Applications are open here until 1 October 2017, with the accelerator kicking off at the Global Social Business Summit in Paris in November. The six-month curriculum that follows culminates with a final pitch day in Munich in June 2018.
