The artwork shows a photograph of an African totem creature found by explorers in their quest for new tribes on the dark continent. He is made up of African masks and robotic elements from the tribe's recurring encounters with UFOs.

This marks the return of the Character Totems to Birmingham, for a two-week exhibition in July, all the way from Berlin, where the show debuted as part of the official Pictoplasma Character Walk earlier this year.

Featuring customised Totems by over 30 international artists and illustrators, including Mc Bess, Kate Hindley, Loulou & Tummie and Toy Factory, to name but a few, the exhibition received international recognition during the festival and was featured on blogs and in magazines, including Digital Arts.
